****This role requires in-office attendance 2x/week in Washington DC****

SUMMARY

With guidance from the Director of Product Management, responsible for all aspects of the development life cycle of the systems used for financial product transparency and transaction reporting, primary and secondary market document submissions, and support of Information Technology department activities. Coordinates within and across cross-functional teams in the design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, and modification of information systems or programs according to user and technical specifications.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Scrum Master facilitates and champions the agile software development process by coaching and mentoring development teams, identifying and eliminating impediments, and promoting the use of standards and best practices. The Scrum Master ensures smooth operation of agile processes and activities, and is responsible for leading daily stand-ups, backlog prioritization meetings, and retrospectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Agile Scrum Mastering and Facilitation
  • Ability to serve 1-3 agile teams
  • Teach and coach teams and Product Owners on agile frameworks and ensure agile best practices are being used
  • Lead teams, stakeholders, SMEs and Product Owners through sprint zero discovery and initial product backlog development to ensure teams are set up for success
  • Organize, schedule, and facilitate all scrum ceremonies
  • Track and communicate key metrics, such as team velocity and sprint/release progress with, and to all relevant teams, stakeholders, and management
  • Responsible for team’s effective usage of agile tracking systems such as Jira
  • Coach individual team members when needed and facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
  • Identify and reduce external team dependencies
  • Determine and remove obstacles that may interfere with the ability of the teams to deliver
  • Promote continuous improvement and help teams to improve workflow, increase productivity, and deliver on outcomes
  • Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and innovation

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education/Training : Bachelor’s degree in Business / Marketing / Finance / Operations / Computer Science or related field required
  • Advanced Scrum Master Certification required (CSM or PSM I)
  • A-CSM, PSM II, CSP, SSM, and CSPO certificates are a plus
  • Related Experience/Requirements: 3+ years of demonstrated successful experience in a Scrum Master role
  • Experience with common Agile practices (Scrum and Kanban)
  • Formal Six Sigma and Lean experience a plus
  • Project Management experience a plus
  • Experience with Scaling frameworks a plus (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, Scrum@Scale)

  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline and AWS Cloud Certification desired.
