Job Description

JC White, Florida’s largest Haworth furniture dealership, seeks a Design Assistant for our Miami Gardens Headquarters. The person selected for this role will provide support in the planning, design and furnishing of commercial spaces. The ideal candidate enjoys developing new skills and working in a creative, collaborative environment. This is an entry-level commercial design position with the potential for growth to become a Senior Designer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and ambitious Design Assistant to work for an award-winning commercial furniture products company and to gain exposure to diverse projects while working under the guidance of an experienced Interior Designer.

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with dealership design and sales team to create inspiring design solutions and translate trends into concepts that respond to client needs

· Develop client presentation books and cut sheets

· Create 3D renderings of furniture and overall space

· Conduct product and material research

· Communicate with partner product manufacturers and reps for samples and quotes

· Collect all material samples needed for finish selection meetings

· Organize and maintain material resource library

· Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Participate in office activities, company off-sites, initiatives, and learning programs

Qualifications:

Passionate about design

· Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design

· Knowledge of design concepts, programming and space planning

· Office furniture product knowledge a plus

· Proficient in AutoCAD, 3D rendering software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

· Outstanding graphic presentation skills

· High attention to detail and accuracy

· Excellent organizational skills

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities

· Strong work ethic, initiative, and follow-through

· Excel in a fast-paced, team environment

· Must have reliable transportation
