Job Description

We are a dynamic boutique real estate development firm based in West Los Angeles, managing a diverse portfolio of properties across the nation. We are currently looking for a Junior Asset Manager to join our close-knit team and support the management and growth of our property assets. This role is perfect for someone with 3-5 years of experience in asset management, eager to build on their skills while contributing to the oversight of a portfolio across residential, commercial, and creative spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Support & Operations:

  • Assist in the daily management of residential, commercial, and creative retail properties, ensuring smooth operations and tenant satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular site visits to evaluate property performance and help identify areas for improvement.
  • Support senior leadership in maintaining high standards of property upkeep and operational efficiency.
  • Work with property managers to address tenant concerns and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
  • Manage property lease tracking, tenant rent and renewals, and extensions using Yardi property management software.
  • Ensure all property documentation is current, including lease agreements, amendments, and assignments.
  • Support the processing of invoices and general administration tasks related to property management.

Financial Oversight & Reporting:

  • Monitor property budgets, ensuring that expenses remain within planned limits and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Help compile financial reports for internal stakeholders and investors, ensuring accuracy and clarity in performance tracking.
  • Track property performance metrics and assist with forecasting and budgeting efforts.

Property Management and Accounting Support:

  • Work closely with the property management and accounting teams to ensure all aspects of property management run smoothly.
  • Participate in strategic meetings to discuss property performance, operational challenges, and future improvements.
  • Provide ongoing operational support during quarterly and annual investor reporting.
  • Assist in managing a portfolio across several states that includes diverse property types, from multifamily residential units to creative office and retail spaces.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategies that maximize property value and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of experience in asset management, real estate, or property management.
  • Strong knowledge of Yardi and other property management software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
