Job Description

Position Overview:

The QMS Manager leads Spirit’s AS9100 quality management system, overseeing nonconformance management, quality metrics, documentation control, and internal audit programs. This position ensures compliance with aerospace industry requirements while driving continuous improvement in quality processes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Creating and developing processes for the lab, including quality control points and first article inspections
  • Provide support with improvement a activities for equipment and nondestructive testing to MIL-STD-883 standard for semiconductor industry
  • Oversee nonconformance management and corrective action programs
  • Develop and monitor quality performance metrics and objectives
  • Direct internal audit program and external certification activities
  • Manage document control systems and quality records
  • Lead management review meetings and improvement initiatives
  • Oversee supplier quality management processes
  • Direct quality training and certification programs
  • Manage quality system budget and resources
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 requirements
  • Lead risk management activities
  • Interface with customers on quality matters
  • Drive quality culture and process improvements
  • Manage quality management software systems

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in AS9100 quality management systems, with 3+ years in a leadership or management role
  • 5+ years of experience in AS9100 quality management systems with a minimum of 2 years within semiconductor industry or in a board assembly facility.
