Compass Healthcare Consulting & placement is searching for a Director, Clinical Services RN or Physical Therapist for a Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) located in Queens, NY. Qualified candidates will have Director or Manager level RN or PT experience within a Certified Home Care Agency. Must be experienced with day to day operations, overseeing a team of Clinicians, OASIS Documentation, Medicare eligibility and reimbursement, NYS DOH and CMS rules and regulations related to Certified Home Health Agency.
The Director of Clinical Services is a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physical Therapist (PT) who assists in oversight of the agency’s service processes. He or she manages employees in the provision of care and services according to professional standards of clinical practice consistent with the agency philosophy of care and State and Federal laws and regulations. In collaboration with the Administrator/DPS, he/she allocates resources in an efficient and economical manner to enable each patient to attain or maintain the highest possible physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of the agency. Collaborates with other departments, professionals and organizations including government agencies, managed care companies and advocacy groups to develop support and coordination of patient care and to represent the interests of the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher and current license to practice in NYS or Physical Therapist with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and current license to practice in NYS
• Has experience in health services operations, with at least one (1) to three (3) years of recent supervisory experience experience in Certified home health care.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional personnel.
• Has excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations and ACHC standards.
• Knowledge and competency in the use of the OASIS data collection instrument.
