International Visual Merchandising Manager – Colton, CA (on-site)

What Will You Do?

The International Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for coaching and guiding the Velocity Walk Process for International Homestores , ensuring that all locations align with Ashley Furniture’s global visual merchandising standards. This role collaborates with internal teams and international licensee partners to drive consistency in store presentation, enhance the customer experience, and optimize retail performance.

Visual Merchandising Strategy & Execution:

  • Implement and oversee the Velocity Walk Process across international markets, ensuring stores meet Ashley’s visual merchandising standards.
  • Provide coaching and training to international Ashley Homestore visual merchandisers to enhance execution quality.
  • Develop and update visual merchandising guidelines, ensuring adaptability to regional preferences while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Conduct store audits and evaluations, providing actionable feedback to improve merchandising execution.

Training & Coaching:

  • Lead training programs for international Homestore teams on the Velocity Walk Process, product placement, and best practices in visual merchandising.
  • Guide regional teams in creating engaging room displays that align with Ashley’s style and branding.
  • Collaborate with store operations teams to develop strategies for improving merchandising efficiency and execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the visual merchandising team, Homestore retail operations, and marketing to align international store presentations with corporate objectives.
  • Partner with buyers and planners to ensure merchandising plans support sales goals and inventory turnover.
  • Communicate with franchise partners and regional managers to address unique market challenges while maintaining Ashley’s brand identity.

Performance & Compliance Monitoring:

  • Evaluate store performance based on visual merchandising KPIs, including customer engagement, sales impact, and compliance with brand standards.
  • Provide monthly reports and feedback to senior leadership on store compliance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend visual merchandising improvements to enhance customer experience and drive sales performance.

What Do You Need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably in a furniture, home décor, or lifestyle retail environment.
  • International retail experience and an understanding of regional market dynamics.
  • Strong knowledge of visual merchandising principles, store layout design, and product presentation.
  • Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring retail teams.
  • Experience working in a corporate visual merchandising role for a global furniture or home furnishings brand, preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple international projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and visual planning software.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed (minimum).

Compensation: Salary Rate: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
