UNION FOREMAN, SPRINKLER

We are looking for Sprinkler Fitter Foreman to join F.E. Moran Fire Protection and work on projects in the Quad Cities area.

As a Sprinkler Fitter Foreman, you will be located on project sites supervising, coordinating, inspecting, and performing the assembly, installation and repair of components, subsystems and systems for the appropriate trade during the construction of commercial buildings and industrial facilities. Related to the construction startup and commissioning of the fire protection systems in accordance with the contract documents and project schedule. Manage field labor, manage subcontractors, and achieve safe, on-time and under-budget completion of projects.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Member of LU 669, required
• 5 – 10 years as a construction foreman or similar function
• Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership skills; able to build and lead a team
• Able to think critically, analyze, and problem solve to drive results
• Work independently as a self-starter
• Utilize computer and software technology in the performance of duties
• Ability to travel to job sites local to the Quad Cities area.

Responsibilities:

• Schedules and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers while communicating and coordinating schedules with other trades
• Eliminates construction and job site hazards as they are recognized to reduce safety incidents and their severity
• Participates in job planning for work packages, site set-up and construction schedules
• Estimates worker-hour requirements to meet the needs of the construction plan
• Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedules utilizing knowledge of equipment capacities and assigned personnel
• Operates and supervises operation of equipment and machinery such as backhoes, forklifts, man lifts, power tools and tampers; As required, works with tools to meet construction schedules or other demands
• Inspects work in progress and completed work to insure conformance to specifications
