JOB DESCRIPTION:

• We are hiring a Unified Communications (UC) Engineer to join our Managed Services team. This role involves the deployment, support, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise-grade Unified Communications systems across both virtual and physical environments.
• You’ll serve as a technical expert and escalation point for voice/UC-related incidents, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and maintain UC solutions in customer environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in VoIP, SIP, UC applications, and Contact Center systems
• Provide advanced support for break-fix and performance issues
• Support related infrastructure: LAN/WAN, VLANs, SIP, VoIP, ISDN, PSTN
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for systems and resolution procedures
• Collaborate with project managers, service desk, and technical teams
• Perform root cause analysis and contribute to process improvements
• Assist with upgrades and migrations of UC platforms
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing

Required Skills:

• 1+ years in Unified Communications or Voice Engineering roles
• Hands-on experience with UC platforms, SIP protocols, and VoIP systems
• Strong understanding of networking (IPv4, routing, switching, VLANs)
• Experience with VMware ESXi and/or Microsoft Hyper-V
• Familiarity with Windows Server and Active Directory
• Strong verbal/written communication and documentation skills
• Willing to support occasional site visits or off-hours work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications like CCNA, MCP, or equivalent
• Experience in a Managed Services or MSP setting
• Exposure to UCaaS, hybrid deployments, or hosted communication systems
