What does a successful Junior Underwriting Analyst-Underwriter do at Fiserv?

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Underwriting Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will review merchant applications from small to mid-sized businesses to assess their creditworthiness, with credit authority of up to $50K. If you enjoy analyzing credit reports and completing risk assessments, we want to hear from you!

What will you do:

• Maintain and review information on existing accounts.
• Assess the creditworthiness of new prospective clients by reviewing credit history.
• Balance risk and revenue trade-offs in line with credit policy and loss targets.
• Mitigate over $2.5 million in risk annually.
• Investigate processing activities on accounts exceeding risk management parameters and make real-time decisions regarding potential fraud.
• Keep accurate and organized records of applications and supporting documentation.
• Use underwriting software and analytical tools to support decision-making.
• Communicate with agents, clients, and stakeholders to gather information and respond to inquiries.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance your underwriting expertise.

What you will need to have:

• High School graduate or GED.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• 1-2 years of underwriting experience in financial services or credit environment.
• 2-3 years of customer service experience.

What would be great to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2+ years of credit analysis experience.
