Job Description

Please note that our target candidate will work primarily on-site from our Omaha, Nebraska office . We will only consider telecommuters or remote employees for this specific position if they are an uncommonly good fit within the unclaimed property industry. No contract or offshore resources will be considered for this role.

Position Highlights:

MarketSphere Unclaimed Property offers a full suite of unclaimed property services including audit defense, voluntary disclosure agreements, risk assessments, corporate asset recovery, and annual compliance. Our Innovation Center supports these efforts by delivering modern, secure, and scalable software solutions that drive client success and internal efficiency.

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our Innovation Center team. In this role, you will act as the critical liaison between business stakeholders and software development teams, guiding the design and delivery of impactful technology solutions. You’ll be responsible for managing technology projects from initiation through deployment, shaping both functional and technical designs, and ensuring solutions are aligned with business strategy and operational integrity.

This is not a development role—but it does require a strong technical foundation. You should be comfortable facilitating architectural conversations, modeling system workflows, and translating business needs into clear, actionable deliverables. Many of the problems we solve involve sensitive, mission-critical data, so an appreciation for secure and reliable application design is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of technology initiatives with cross-functional teams
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with development team, business stakeholders, and customers to design technology solutions
  • Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation to support development
  • Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, and risk mitigation across initiatives
  • Facilitate effective meetings and development ceremonies to keep teams aligned and productive
  • Drive change management initiatives, ensuring the team and stakeholders are prepared and supportive of project changes.
  • Create and validate test plans and user acceptance criteria to ensure delivery quality
  • Promote structured communication, clear documentation, and informed decision-making

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years in project management, technical business analysis, or systems analysis roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to align technical implementation with strategic business goals
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (Agile, Scrum, or hybrid models)
  • Ability to visualize and describe system architecture and data flows at an advanced level
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, DevOps, Visio, Lucidchart, Figma, or similar
  • Experience delivering secure systems in regulated environments (HIPAA, GLBA, PCI, ISO, etc.)
  • Experience with automation, data integration, and workflow design (e.g., RPA, ETL platforms)
  • Experience with enterprise software platforms (ERP, CRM, BI) is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of state unclaimed property regulations is a significant plus
