Job Title: Nuclear Technical Project Manager

Compa Industries is searching for qualified candidates for a Technical Project Manager position at the Los Alamos National Laboratory Richland Site in Richland, WA .

Salary: $65/hr - $70/hr

Location: Richland, WA

Citizenship: US citizenship Required

Work Schedule: 4/10s

Clearance: Ability to acquire a Q clearance

Impact

As a Technical Program Manager 2 (TPM2), you will play a critical role in managing and delivering high-impact technical and operational projects at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Your expertise will ensure the successful execution of project deliverables while meeting technical, budgetary, and scheduling requirements. Your ability to foster relationships, navigate challenges, and provide structured leadership will directly contribute to mission success.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage and oversee discrete technical and operational projects from initiation to completion.
  • Define project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risk management strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to technical and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project teams in planning, tracking, and executing project goals.
  • Develop and manage work packages to meet programmatic needs and customer requirements.
  • Provide administrative and operational oversight, including policy implementation and evaluation.
  • Monitor project budgets and service levels to optimize program performance.
  • Offer technical guidance and advisory support to staff and other departments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Maintain compliance with DOE regulations and standards while executing projects efficiently.
  • Manage reporting, documentation, and risk assessment to mitigate project challenges.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of related project management experience.
  • Prior experience supporting DOE construction or Decontamination & Decommissioning (D&D) projects.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
  • Ability to navigate regulatory and compliance requirements within government projects.

Desired Skills

  • Experience working with NRC or DOE-related work scope.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle complex projects and multiple priorities.
  • Experience managing technical projects with defined objectives and deliverables.
  • Experience working with NRC or DOE-related work scope.
  • Proven ability to work with demanding customers and foster strong working relationships.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (preferred).
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
