Job Description

The Technical Consultant is responsible for providing expert-level technical support and consulting services to clients utilizing WennSoft solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of database structures, software customization, and integration methodologies. The consultant will be instrumental in ensuring clients maximize the value of their WennSoft investments through effective implementation, ongoing support, and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Software Customization:

  • Analyze client business requirements and translate them into customized solutions within the WennSoft platform.
  • Configure and customize WennSoft solutions to meet specific client needs, including workflows, user permissions, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement custom reports using built-in reporting tools and potentially external reporting tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to software functionality and customizations.

Software Upgrades:

  • Plan and execute software upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
  • Test and validate upgraded systems to ensure functionality and data integrity.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation and training to clients on upgraded features.

Database Administration:

  • Potentially act as a database administrator for the WennSoft solutions, including performance tuning, and security maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

API Integration:

  • Design and implement integrations with other software systems using APIs.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful integration projects.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all integrations.

Client Support:

  • Provide ongoing technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote access.
  • Proactively identify and address client needs and concerns.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Training and Documentation:

  • Develop and deliver training materials and presentations to clients on various aspects of the WennSoft solutions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all customizations, integrations, and support procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with database systems
  • Proven experience with software customization and configuration.
  • Experience with API integration and development.
  • C# development proficiency required
  • .NET add-ins development proficiency required.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service orientation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with WennSoft solutions.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Business Central, Power Platform).
  • Reporting: SQL Server Reporting Services, Management Reporter
  • General accounting knowledge.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert).
