Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper in North Little Rock, Arkansas. As a Staff Accountant, you will be handling a variety of accounting duties, including managing the general ledger, overseeing payroll, preparing financial reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The salary range will be $55,000 - $65,000 DOE along with clear opportunities for long-term growth! Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage the general accounting functions including journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and adjustments. - Handle payroll processing, including the calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, and other payroll-related adjustments. - Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. - Manage accounts payable and receivable, including billing, collections, customer account reconciliation, and vendor reconciliation. - Support the preparation of management reports and financial summaries, providing analysis on financial performance and identifying trends and variances. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, and reconcile payroll accounts. - Prepare and file payroll tax returns, and assist in the preparation of corporate tax returns and other regulatory filings. - Provide support for internal and external audits, implementing audit recommendations and ensuring ongoing compliance. - Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and improve accounting and payroll processes. - Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial and payroll data. Requirements - Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) - Skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations - Proficient in maintaining and updating the General Ledger - Ability to record and manage Journal Entries - Experience with Month End Close processes - Prior experience working with NetSuite software - Familiarity with Oracle software - Proficiency in using QuickBooks software - Knowledge and experience in using SAP software Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
