Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chemist – Formulation to lead the development, optimization, and scale-up of formulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in formulation chemistry, hands-on experience with lab-scale and pilot-scale processes, and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and product lifecycle development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new product formulations in alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Perform formulation optimization through experimental design, stability testing, and data analysis.
• Lead lab-scale and pilot-scale trials, and support technology transfer to manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot formulation-related issues and implement solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct raw material evaluations and compatibility studies.
• Document all experiments, procedures, and results in accordance with GLP/GMP standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines such as FDA, ICH, EPA, or other relevant bodies.
• Mentor and guide junior chemists and technicians as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum 5-8 years of formulation development experience.
• Strong knowledge of formulation principles, materials science, and process development.
• Familiarity with analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, FTIR).
• Experience with regulatory documentation and technical writing.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally.
