Job Description

We have partnered with an expanding, privately-held Software company in its search for a driven Sr. Financial Analyst. This individual will serve as a key member of a small but growing Finance team, while taking on a wide variety of hands-on FP&A duties such as budgeting, forecasting, analysis, financial modeling, and reporting. The Sr. Financial Analyst will work closely with all areas of the company, and will report to the Director of FP&A. This is a great opportunity for a Financial Analyst with three-to-six (3-6) years of experience to join a fast-paced SaaS company in a position with a high degree of exposure and career growth potential.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the following job duties:

  • Analyzing complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to leadership for decision making purposes.
  • Serving as a key player in the company’s financial planning process by analyzing current and past trends in key performance indicators, along with other SaaS metrics.
  • Financially dissecting revenue streams, platform products, and sales channels to determine profitability and identify opportunities.
  • Assisting with M&A activity, including analysis of acquisition targets and post-acquisition integration activity.
  • Working closely with Sales Operations and HR to enhance sales compensation plans, along with analysis of Sales pipelines.
  • Working closely with Marketing to develop key marketing analytics, drive efficiencies, and analyze ROI in marketing programs, pricing, and new product rollouts.
  • Enhancing the company’s FP&A technology deck (systems and related tools), while serving as a key member of implementation teams.
  • Preparing ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested by leadership.

To be considered, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Three (3) or more years of corporate FP&A experience.
  • Prior background within the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) industry is preferred, along with small-to-mid-sized company experience ($50M - $1B).
  • Proven skills and abilities related to financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and detailed analysis are needed.
  • Advanced-level Excel skills are necessary, including proficiency with pivot tables, VLookup and HLookup, index matching, SUMIF, macros, etc.
  • Previous experience utilizing an ERP system such as Netsuite, Oracle, Intacct, etc. is needed, along with Salesforce experience (preferred).
  • Candidates should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a high degree of detail orientation, professionalism, and career drive.
