Sales Professionals – 1 Full and 1 Part Time
National Floor Center is pleased to announce that we have two openings at our showroom on the east end of the Vestal Parkway in Binghamton, NY. With a focus on providing customers with friendly, personalized service and hand-picked affordable flooring solutions, National Floor Center is a welcoming alternative to the big box store.
We are in need of dynamic sales professionals with a dedicated work ethic and a sincere desire to support individuals, businesses, and families with their flooring needs. Listening to our customers and providing honest product guidance and support is key to our success and we are looking for motivated sales and customer support staff who are equally committed to service excellence. While experience in sales, particularly in flooring sales, is preferred, applicants with a strong willingness and ability to learn, will be considered. Both part-time and full-time staff are needed.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include welcoming guests to the store and providing them with honest and informative product information on a range of flooring options including carpet, hardwood, vinyl, and tile. Assisting customers with their selections and following up regarding satisfaction with their purchases. Sales associates will also need to communicate effectively with vendors and installers regarding product support and installations. Weekend and evening hours are available and may be required.
Qualifications:
Members of National Floor Center’s Sales and Customer Support team need to possess an array of skills in order to most effectively assist guests to the store.
• Several years of experience in sales, particularly flooring sales is preferred, though applicants with a strong willingness and ability to learn will also be considered.
• Superior interpersonal skills including strengths in both speaking and in being an effective listener.
• The ability to learn, remember, and communicate on a diverse range of product issues.
• History of being able to work well and accomplish tasks both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
