Job Description

Road Ranger, a multi-state Travel Center company, is seeking an extroverted and customer service minded Receptionist to join its Schaumburg, Illinois headquarters.

Position Summary:

The Receptionist provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. Primarily responsible for answering and redirecting incoming calls, providing general customer service, mail and package receiving and sorting, visitor reception, and office supply ordering.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Answer, screen, and redirect incoming phone calls
• Provide general customer service to the Company's customers, including Rewards program support
• Receive and sort office mail and packages
• Receive office visitors
• Order office supplies
• Serve as liaison with building management
• Assist in other administrative tasks as assigned

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1-year prior experience in customer service or office administration
• Some experience using Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Spanish fluency is desired, but not a requirement

• Highly professional and ethical with strong morals and integrity
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, and in writing
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure prioritize and handle multiple competing tasks and demands simultaneously
• Ability to maintain strict levels of confidentiality
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions under pressure
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other staff members to accomplish the goals and objectives of the organization
