Job Description

Addison Group is working with a prominent manufacturing company in search for a Quality Inspector to join their team! This is a contract role to start and 5 days onsite in Irwin, PA .

Our global manufacturing client is a looking to add a quality inspector to their team who would be based out of their Pittsburgh, PA Headquarters. This position is responsible for inspecting customers’ components prior to Abrasive Flow Machining (AFM) or Thermal Energy Method (TEM) processing to ensure they meet agreed upon incoming specifications. Post-processing inspections are also done to ensure that the parts meet the required customer outcome specifications

Role & Responsibilities :

Perform Component inspections

  • Inspections will be with a profilometer, comparators and other mechanical measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Ensure that work is performed within the requirements that are set by the customer’s specifications

Maintain Records and Databases as required

  • Concise and accurate recording of inspection findings
  • Create Certificates of Conformity (COC) for customer components
  • Record and report all deviations from requirements
  • Ensure compliance to all quality standards (e.g. ISO/QS/AS/MIL/ANSI). GD&T Knowledge.

Quality Support for other Production Functions

  • Performs post-process cleaning of customer parts
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications and Education Requirements :

  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
  • Good mechanical aptitude / hands-on
  • Good logic, reasoning & troubleshooting skills
  • Good written & oral communication skills
  • Good organization skills / ability to multi-task
  • Work well in a group / team environment
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings (detail & assembly) & specifications
  • Pursue and participate in any training as may be required by the company
  • Experience working in a Quality Control environment
  • General mechanical inspection (calipers, micrometers, profilometers, comparators, etc.)
