FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
GENERAL SUMMARY: This role will be responsible for the leadership of two functions within the Operations Excellence team: Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement.
Responsibilities for leading Quality Assurance will be to ensure there are no defects, and that material and product quality is in line with company or national and international standards. Also responsible for investigating and setting standards for quality, health, and safety, and analyzing the effectiveness of processes and Quality Management Systems.
Responsibilities for leading Continuous Improvement will be to serve as a dynamic change agent and aggressively lead business improvement projects using lean and/or six sigma tools. Provide sustained improvement to critical manufacturing and transactional processes to help management achieve strategic goals and impact financial results. Challenge conventional thinking and assemble multiple teams as needed to support tactical efforts, serving as both a team leader and coach.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Quality Management System
Contribute to the identification and evaluation of current policies and business processes that are in the scope of the Quality Management System; contribute to the design of the QMS; provide specialist quality management input to the drafting of new policies and procedures, and design of business processes ;contribute to the quantification of the costs and business benefits of change.
Quality Testing Design
Validate new or existing complex test methods and procedures; identify issues and recommend improvements to contribute to further development.
Leadership and Direction
Explain the local action plan to support team members in their understanding of what needs to be done and how this relates to the broader business plan and the organization's strategy, mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.
Continues Improvement / Innovation
Assist in the planning and implementation of lean and/or six sigma strategies to achieve overarching global business strategy. Apply lean manufacturing and six sigma concepts in manufacturing and transactional process settings. Lead/coordinate(i.e., kaizen/continuous improvement, value stream mapping, six sigma variation reduction, etc.) events/activities as required including the planning of events and resources, evaluating candidates and recruiting teams, training and leading teams, achieving event objectives and documenting performance.
Operational Compliance
Identify, within the team, instances of non-compliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these and escalating issues as appropriate.
Data Collection and Analysis
Collate and analyze data using pre-set tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
Performance Management
Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance. Monitor the performance of the team; allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality; contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.
Organizational Capability Building
Provide coaching and mentorship to Quality team members and CI practitioners to develop their skills.
Budgeting
Track budgets and report variances to more senior colleagues.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or another technical discipline.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience providing leadership in Quality and Continuous Improvement.
· Previous management of an ISO 9001 Quality System required.
· Certification in Lean or Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) or Kaizen Leader experience preferred.
· Ability to be open minded, adaptable, and be an influential change agent.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proficient competency with Microsoft Office Suite

Enpro carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, training, and experience required, as well as geographic considerations such as cost of labor, and applicable local and state laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $115,000 - $150,000 annually . The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, gainshare, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. Enpro offers a range of benefits including, but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) matching, and other supplemental insurance options.
