Job Description

Insight Global is seeking detail-oriented Project Engineers/Coordinator who will assist with various aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be able to draft recommended responses and actions for COR for project actions such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch-lists, etc., analyze construction trends, monitor deliverables, and provide overall administrative support. Supporting Architect of the Capitol, this position offers the unique opportunity to work on some the most historic and iconic buildings in the nation.

Must Haves:

• 1-2 YOE as a Project Engineer, Controls assistant, or Coordinator.
• Supporting project schedules, budgets, change forms, RFIs, submittals etc.
• 1-2 YOE supporting vertical construction projects, ideally acting as an Owner’s Representative.
• E-Builder or RROLOG expereince
• BA in Engineering, Architecture, Construction/Project Management.

Pluses:

• Expereince supporting federal construction projects
• Corps of Engineers QCM, Certification, OSHA 30

Day-to-day:

• Assess, process and maintain records of all contracts related correspondence in E-Builder platform.
• Draft recommended responses and actions for COR for project actions such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch-lists, etc.
• Analyze construction trends, monitor deliverables and provide overall administrative
• Manage Workflow: Oversee and process deliverables, submittals, drawings, RFIs, change orders, correspondence, and supplemental agreements, ensuring timely review and approval by AOC staff and consultants.
• Maintain Databases: Keep the Submittal and RFI E-Builder database updated with all contractor submissions and responses.
• Evaluate Submissions: Review and analyze all submissions for completeness and accuracy, notifying relevant parties of any discrepancies or issues.
• Create and Maintain Files: Develop and maintain electronic project files using PROLOG, adhering to AOC’s Standard Operating Procedures.
• Process Correspondence: Handle outgoing correspondence and transmittals, ensuring compliance with format, spelling, and grammar standards.
• Document Actions: Record all actions and decisions made during the project to create an accurate project history.
• Assist with Meetings: Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take and distribute minutes, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded and shared.
• Prepare Reports: Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports on RFIs, submittals, and project status.
• Support Project Close-out: Assist in resolving punch list items, process change orders, and compile final close-out documents.
• Manage Security Badges : Process and track security badge requests for consultants and contractors, maintaining an up-to-date database.
