Job Summary

Classical Academic Press (CAP) is a fast-growing publisher of curricula and media for classical schools, Christian schools, classical home schools, and classical charter schools. As the Post Production Specialist, you will possess a strong understanding of video production workflows, excellent technical skills, and a passion for crafting engaging educational media. This role is designed as a hybrid (2 days on site), but fully remote work will be considered. This full-time position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, working either from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST.

Responsibilities

• Transfer footage to the Media Content Platform (our internal server).
• Organize RAW media for efficient post-production workflows.
• Edit video content, including cutting and color correction.
• Create and insert static and motion graphics, titles, closed captioning, and sound effects.
• Add music, voice-overs, and other audio elements to enhance the content.
• Render videos in appropriate formats for various platforms.
• Ensure timely delivery of finalized media to hosting services, including Vimeo, YouTube, and MyLibrary (CAP's proprietary platform).
• Design and incorporate engaging visuals using Adobe Premiere and other relevant Adobe products.
• Manage and maintain the organization of the video library.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and other Adobe Creative Cloud products (e.g., After Effects, Photoshop, Audition).
• Strong knowledge of hosting services and content delivery workflows (e.g., Vimeo, YouTube).
• Experience in color correction and audio post-production.
• Expertise in multi-camera editing techniques.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in educational or publishing-related video production.
• Familiarity with classical education principles and media landscape.
