Job Description

An employer in Pasadena, CA is looking for a Payroll Manager to lead their payroll functions. This person will ensure payroll expenses and taxes are handled accurately and on time. This role involves supervising our payroll team and working with other professionals. This is hybrid 3x a week onsite.

Must-Haves:

• Proven 3+ years of experience as a payroll manager processing over 5000+ employees
• Multistate payroll experience is required
• Proven leadership experience
• Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
• Familiarity with payroll software ADP Vantage or WFN, ADPR reporting
• Ability to work with others, cross-functionally and build relationships in a team environment
• Experience in system implementations
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative work relationships
• Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
• Organizational and leadership skills
• Knowledge of labor and payroll tax laws
• BSC/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or a related field
• Understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and union contracts
• Strong excel and analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks and projects effectively

Compensation: $110,000 - $135,000

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
