Responsible for providing bedside presence to assure the safety of the patient who is a safety risk, disoriented, confused and possibly under a Baker Act. Alerts Nursing Staff to any patient care needs. Sitters may provide basic patient care support, ie, water, assist with turning, pillow placement and assist feeding but will not be asked to perform any patient care tasks unless trained and competent to do so.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
High School graduate or GED equivalent.
Current certification or certification - eligible as a Certified Nursing Assistant by the Florida Board of Nursing.
Completion of an approved nursing/medical assistant course, or currently attending an approved nursing program (RN/LPN).
Current BLS certification.
