Job Description

Pay Range: $55,000-$80,000/YR

WCC Technologies Group is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for low voltage, IT, and physical security projects. The ideal candidate will analyze project specifications, conduct takeoffs, obtain supplier pricing, and collaborate with sales and operations to ensure timely and profitable bid submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review RFPs, drawings, and specifications to develop comprehensive takeoffs and estimates.
• Scope, quantify, and price labor, materials, and subcontractor costs across multiple verticals (network cabling, access control, surveillance, A/V, wireless, and IT infrastructure).
• Prepare detailed proposals and bid packages for both public and private sector clients.
• Work closely with sales, engineering, and project managers to align estimates with client needs and company capabilities.
• Maintain cost databases, update pricing, and track historical project costs to improve estimate accuracy.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site walks as needed.
• Identify value engineering options and recommend cost-saving alternatives.
• Ensure timely bid submission and support post-bid negotiations as required.

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of experience in estimating, preferably in low voltage, security, or IT services.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical drawings.
• Strong math and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with public sector bidding (SLED, education, municipal RFPs).
• Knowledge of product lines such as Cisco, HPE Aruba, Verkada, Brivo, Avigilon and related systems.
• Experience working with Power Query, CPQ tools, or CRM systems like Zoho is a plus.
