Job Description

Job Summary:   The IT Tech Support positions serves a key role in maintaining and troubleshooting the organization's computer systems and networks. The position will perform technical support to the organization’s staff and systems at the organization’s multiple offices and sites.  Via travel or remotely, diagnose and resolve technical issues at those locations as well as cloud services.

Status:   Full-time, Nonexempt, Temporary
Location:   Chinatown neighborhood, San Francisco
Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Salary: $25.53 - $26.88 per hour; Comprehensive benefits

We own and/or manage approximately 36 affordable housing buildings serving over 4,500 low-income seniors, single adults, formerly homeless adults, and families of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds in San Francisco’s Chinatown, Tenderloin, Western Addition, and Polk Gulch neighborhoods. What You Will Do:
  • Provides 1 st tier in-house technical support, processes and maintain ticketing system
  • Installing and configuring software
  • Computer hardware equipment setup and repair
  • Network troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Maintain phone, voice and fax systems
  • Onboarding/off-boarding
  • Inventory management of hardware, software, licenses
  • Participate in systems security and cybersecurity awareness training
  • Perform systems accounts management and access to email and cloud services
  • May at times work independently to perform services and functions
  • Effectively collaborates within the IT department and inter-departmentally, to schedule and prioritize special projects
  • Manages and maintains documentation, inventories, databases
  • Regularly performs operational and administrative IT operational duties
  • Provides staff technical support and processes using IT dashboards and tools
  • Meetings with contractors/vendors at job sites (may sometimes be during non-business hours)

  • Working computer knowledge, Microsoft applications, Office 365, Email, Internet, Cloud Services, Communications Platforms (MS Teams, VoIP, video conferencing, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service, public relations, project management, and networking skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team with demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in groups
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, highly detail-oriented
  • Work well under pressure and handle a wide variety of activities in a professional manner, maintain workload, and balance priorities
  • Ability to multi-task, work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and make independent decisions, and exercise sound judgment and time management.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive communications with employees and external agencies.
  • Perform other related duties as required. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or professional training program specific to the position and directly related work experience, or a combination of education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position
Preferred Qualifications (in addition to above)
  • Certification or coursework in Information Technology and/or project management essentials
  • One (1) year of progressive project coordination or team collaboration experience
  • Familiarity with non-profits
