Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist FLSA/Grade: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Reports to: Inventory Control Manager Department: Inventory Control

Position Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining and ensuring correct inventory levels and ensure locations match what is in the system.

The position of Inventory Control Specialist is not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and shall be entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked more than 40 in any one work week.

The Inventory Control Specialist shall be accountable and supervised by the Inventory Control Manager .

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Cycle counting.
• Adjust inventory as needed.
• Resolve any inventory concerns encountered throughout the day.
• Research any shorts for the day.
• Ensure orders for products are prompt and definite to monitor inventory.
• Confirm product is not expired by monitoring dates FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles where applicable.
• Establish compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Work Environment:

• Freezer, Cooler, and Dry sections of Warehouse.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 50-100lbs.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior Inventory Control experience preferred.
• Cherry Picker
• Pallet jack

Salary:

• $22 per hour. Negotiable based on experience.
