Job Description

Charter One is currently accepting applications for a full-time HR Benefits Coordinator. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, an Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card from the Department of Public Safety.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Process employee leaves of absences and reasonable accommodation requests
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of FMLA, ADA, PWFA and PPL policies and procedures
  • Keeping meticulous records of employee leave and accommodation requests
  • Utilize task management platforms (ClickUp)
  • Communicating with stakeholders on employee medical issues
  • Responsible for completing and submitting various invoices for our benefit carriers to Finance for approval and tracking payments
  • Answer and assist employees throughout the benefit enrollment process
  • Complete monthly audits of part-time employees’ hours worked and ensure compliance with ACA
  • Communicate and offer benefits to eligible employees
  • Complete bi-monthly reviews of ACA eligible employee benefit deductions, communicate any necessary back collections or payments and track completion
  • Review, track and distribute end of year 1095-C tax forms
  • Assist with setting up and tracking of the annual open enrollment period
  • Assist with employee workers compensation claims including tracking progress of claim status, answering questions, and communicating with stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented
  • Organization
  • Strong Communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous HR and benefits related experience
  • Experience with HRIS systems (ADP) and benefit systems
  • Degree in HR-related field
