A machinery manufacturing client of Insight Global is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team in Chattanooga, TN. This role involves travel to client sites, up to 35-40%, primarily within the great Chattanooga, TN area. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for commissioning new equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, developing repair plans, and conducting preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to customer sites to commission new equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems
• Develop and implement repair plans
• Conduct preventative maintenance
• Educate and train internal customer service representatives on proper procedures
• Work with external customers to identify root causes, investigate error trends, and make recommendations
• Document progress, maintenance notes, and records of customers/equipment

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 1-3+ years of experience troubleshooting mechanical or electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering documents, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience commissioning equipment, preferably electrical systems and components
• Associate's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge or experience reading schematic drawings
• Experience within the carpet/tufting industry

Additional Information:

• A company vehicle and devices for documenting progress and maintenance will be provided.
