Pay Range: $26.53 - $39.80/hour +Full Time benefits + $5000 sign in bonus. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Compensation and Benefits:
• Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
• Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
• Hours: M-F | 7AM to 4PM
• No weekends but there is an on-call rotation once a month for about a week. There is an opportunity for overtime.
• Completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction.
• Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Applying the use of specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
• Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
• Completing training in line with skill and business requirements.
• Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills; Overhaul experience
• Heavy duty diesel engine experience
• Working Experience on the Electrical side of heavy duty diesel engine.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience with direct diesel engine.
• ONLY INDUSTRIAL experience. Small residential experience with generators is not the same.
• These generators are massive. 4kw-2000 (some 2500 now too)
• New Unit Installs and Commissioning Switch Gear and Paralleling (Great to Have)
• Not only experience working on the ENGINE but the ELECTRICAL side of it as well.
• Training Process Depends on experience:
• Fasttrack if available; initial safety training 70-E, load banking
• Qualifications and Competencies :
• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
• Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
• Technician Level II:
• Some relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on an intermediate number of products in-scope for a diesel technician at this location; primarily engaged in moderately complex maintenance and repair; some exposure to moderate or complex diagnostics, requires limited direct supervision, may provide basic training or guidance to new technicians.
• Technician Level III:
• Significant relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on most or all of products in-scope for a technician at this location; frequently engaged in complex diagnosis and repair; requires minimal to no supervision; ability to effectively train and guide less experienced technicians of varying skillsets.
• Education, Licenses, Certifications :
• Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• Current relevant electrical certification
• Locally valid driving permit
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
