Electrical Engineer
Location: 100% onsite in Corning, NY

This position is in the Electrical & Controls Engineering Department and is focused on delivering reliable electrical distribution to the customers of the Division to enable research, development and engineering programs in support of the Innovation process.
Become a leader in troubleshooting, process improvement, new equipment installation and documentation of electrical infrastructure and process equipment.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• BSEE or BSEET degree with a focus in electrical power and power distribution.
• Understands regulations applicable to area of expertise and works to ensure compliance (NEC, NFPA, etc.) Incorporates safety and risk analysis into equipment designs
• Proficient in use of AutoCAD.
• Co-Op and/or intern experience dealing with electrical infrastructure equipment and troubleshooting.
• Ability to use electrical test meters, PC’s and/or schematics to troubleshoot electrical equipment/infrastructure.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Must have 2+ Years Experience as an Electrical Engineer

• Translates engineering solutions to requirements, then further to process and/or equipment designs which deliver all required and promised performance criteria.
• Determines and recommends best solution from a series of alternatives within site specifications.

• Works well in a team environment, is a “self-starter” and “results oriented”.
• Communicates effectively in various settings to provide and present necessary information to Project, Department, and Site leaders.
Travel Requirements:
• Minimal (0-5%).
Hours of work:
• Standard work hours are M-F 7:30-4:00, however, on-call and weekend work expected for project work and electrical shutdowns when necessary
