Job Overview The Distribution Center (DC) Assistant plays a key support role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the DC. This position works closely with the DC Manager and the DC team to execute receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and housekeeping tasks. The DC Assistant also helps coordinate supplies and fixture requests and assists with basic reporting and process improvement initiatives. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Operational Support Assist with inbound receiving: unload trucks, inspect shipments, verify packing lists, order accuracy, and complete system transactions. Support order fulfillment: pick, transfer, and ship web and store-transfers according to SOPs. Prepare outbound shipments: include packing lists (customer orders), label packages, and coordinate with carriers. Inventory & Cycle Counts Participate in scheduled cycle counts and inventory audits. Investigate and document stock variances; escalate discrepancies to DC Manager. Maintain accurate storage/bin locations and ensure products are correctly labeled. Supplies Assistance Help track supplies inventory levels and notify the DC Manager when reorder points are reached. Pull and ship supplies requests to stores as needed. Support new-store opening logistics by staging fixtures and supplies under DC Manager guidance. Facility Maintenance & Housekeeping Support initiatives to organize work areas, perform routine cleaning, and dispose of waste appropriately. Conduct basic facility inspections and report maintenance or safety issues. Documentation & Reporting Maintain documentation including but not limited to: shortages, overages, or any other order discrepancies; carrier documentation; maintain recording within adopted systems for cross-functional transparency Assist in generating basic reports as needed. Secondary Duties & Responsibilities Assist with training new DC associates on foundational processes and safety protocols. Participate in process-improvement projects and suggest ideas for workflow enhancements/improvements. Occasionally support weekend or after-hours peak operations as staffing needs dictate. The Pay Range For This Role Is 14 - 17 USD per hour(Jonesboro, AR)
