Market leading manufacturer of built-to-order, high reliability, precision products for the defense and oil & gas industries has retained us to find a site Director of Continuous Improvement . In this important position, you will:

• Reduce past due orders by 50%;
• Define the KPIs for the organization that will achieve this objective;
• Drive the actions that will close KPI gaps;
• Teach and mentor others on appropriate problem solving tools to sustain gains, especially your replacement;
• Manage 1 direct report;
• Continue to learn and grow as you collaborate with other site Continuous Improvement Leaders and world-class outside consultants.

Qualifications:

• BS (Engineering highly preferred)
• MS (highly preferred)
• 10-15 years of manufacturing experience (high mix, low volume environment preferred)
• Proven leader and developer of people
• Lean Manufacturing tools trained
• Track record of using Lean tools to move the needle, i.e. made $, saved $, reduced, improved
• We, not me
• Assertive, but not aggressive
• US Citizen
