Job Summary:
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our construction management company. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and manage construction projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day activities of the project, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in the planning and coordination of construction projects from start to finish
- Manage project schedules and budgets
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Assist in quality control inspections to ensure construction meets project specifications and standards
- Assist in managing project safety, including identifying and mitigating potential hazards
- Provide support to the Project Manager in communication with clients, stakeholders, and project team members
- Assist in the preparation of project reports, including progress reports and financial reports
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and other project-related documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 2+ years of experience in construction project management
- Knowledge of construction industry standards, building codes, and regulations
- Experience with project scheduling and budgeting software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with project team members
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
