Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist (Full-Time, Days)

Location: Laredo, TX

Pay Range: $114,400 - $158,080

Sign-on and relocation bonuses for eligible applicants.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (Coverage Required Every 3rd Weekend)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our healthcare team at a 326-bed acute care hospital and Level 3 trauma center. The Clinical Pharmacist will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medications for patients. This position involves working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide expert pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret physician orders to ensure safe and appropriate medication therapy.
• Provide clinical support and pharmaceutical guidance to healthcare teams.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust medications as needed.
• Educate patients and healthcare professionals on medication therapies and proper usage.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory guidelines, and best practices in pharmaceutical care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication records.
• Provide coverage and support as needed, including every 3rd weekend.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
• At least one (1) year of hospital clinical pharmacy experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Texas.
• A.C.P.E.-accredited IV Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of a PGY-1 residency in an acute care setting.
• Completion of an accredited PGY1/PGY2 hospital pharmacy residency.
• Board certifications such as BCOP (Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist) or BCPS (Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist).
