The Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking an Administrative Assistant I to assists the Chief Public Safety Officer. Key tasks include gathering and compiling confidential data for documents, monitoring the implementation of procedures, supporting the annual budget process, conducting studies to address operational issues, and making recommendations for improvements. The role involves initiating information requests, establishing response timeframes, and explaining policies to various stakeholders. Additionally, the individual is responsible for overseeing submissions for the Chief's approval, composing correspondence, maintaining confidential files, and organizing departmental policies and procedures.
