Job Description The Opportunity:As a Hospice Aide for our Hospice House, you will have the opportunity to provide patient care directly in the comfort of their own home. You will work closely with patients and their families and be a key piece in the end of life care we provide to our patients. You will assist with daily living activities and basic home care. There is a lot of autonomy in this position, so you will need to be confident in your skills and enjoy working independently.Shift: This opportunity works 3 12-hour shifts per week, 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. 4 weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) required in a 6-week period.The Work:Provide care to patients that are on service with Saint Luke's Hospice.Provide care to the patients in their home.Assists in the patient care anticipating patient family needs in a proactive fashion.Collaborate with other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care.Why St. Luke's Hospice:We believe in creating a collaborative environment, while looking for innovative ways to improve.
