BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The Regional Business Development Manager - Commercial Insurance will generate new business opportunities by developing relationships with commercial insurance adjusters, consultants, and brokers within the assigned region and nationwide. Primary duties include inside and outside sales activities, networking, lead generation, social media engagement, and participation in trade associations.
Territory:
• Covers MA and CT initially; reports to Woburn, MA office once a week for Monday meetings.
Salary Range: $85,000 – $110,000
• Commission OTE Range: $50,000 - $160,000
• Auto Allowance
Sales Region: Northeast U.S. (New England area), with regular travel required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development:
• Focus on the assigned region, with 75% of efforts directed there and 25% outside.
• Identify, nurture, and develop relationships with new and existing business contacts.
• Generate sales through brokers, consultants, and adjusters managed via Salesforce.
• Document activities and meet sales KPIs via meetings, events, and outreach.
• Achieve annual individual sales goals.
Marketing:
• Collaborate with leadership on planning association involvement and budget.
• Plan and organize marketing functions including golf tournaments, charitable events, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
• 3+ years working with commercial brokers/insurance industry preferred.
• Must be available for networking functions 2-4 evenings per week.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience tracking sales data in CRM systems.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Outgoing, driven, team-oriented attitude.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
TRAVEL:
• 50% regular travel, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required for meetings and training.
