Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate have analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.

Responsibilities:

  • Record transactions accurately and reconcile accounts of various clients monthly.
  • Identify and address outstanding transactions identified in credit card and bank reconciliations.
  • Process bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly payroll for various clients and file payroll returns on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Process bills and bill payments.
  • Provide collection services on open receivables and evaluate open payable accounts
  • Evaluate work done by clients or themselves to identify issues and correct them
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule.
  • Provide value added comments to clients regarding financial results as displayed on financial package prepare for client.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and word
  • Proficient in QuickBooks desktop and online software.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and client interactions

  • Consistently produce error-free financial reports within deadlines
  • Maintain a 100% accuracy rate in recording and reconciling financial transactions
  • Apply learned skills to similar situations successfully
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and take corrective action to avoid repeating them
  • Exhibit proactive communication to address potential financial discrepancies promptly
  • Demonstrate reliability by adhering to deadlines and responding to inquiries in a timely manner
  • Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members by providing professional and courteous service.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2 - 5 years' experience in bookkeeping
