CNC 2nd Shift Supervisor

Location: Sacramento, CA

**Competitive Compensation - $38 -$50 per hour plus shift differential & bonuses

Are you an experienced CNC Machinist with a passion for leadership and precision manufacturing? We’re looking for a CNC Team Lead to support and guide our 2nd shift machining department. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll oversee production activities, ensure high-quality output, and foster a collaborative and safety-conscious team environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong machining skills and a desire to grow as a leader in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and supervise CNC machining activities to meet daily production goals and quality standards
• Serve as the communication bridge between 2nd and 1st shift operations
• Collaborate with supervisors and managers to plan production schedules and timelines
• Assist with performance reviews and disciplinary actions for 2nd shift team members
• Maintain department organization, supplies, and safety compliance
• Support and mentor machinists in techniques, programming, and troubleshooting
• Step in to perform machining duties as needed to maintain workflow
• Send nightly shift reports to Production Supervisor/Manager

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or GED required ; technical degree in Machine Tool, Manufacturing Technology or related field preferred
• 5+ years of CNC machining and/or programming experience required
• 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role preferred
• Proficiency in WinMax and/or Mastercam programming
• Solid experience with 3-axis, 5-axis, and lathe machining
• Strong understanding of high-tolerance machining, complex fixturing, and GD&T
• Knowledge of material properties and shop mechanics
